Who Does Allah Love Most?

“أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلىَ اللَّهِ أَنفَعُهُم لِلنَّاسِ.” -رسول الله
“The most beloved of people to Allah are those who benefit people the most.” – Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Islam is the most beautiful religion. Fundamentally, it asks the human being to worship the one and only God, Allah, and to please Him. The things that please Him, however, are not mundane, limited actions. The actions that please Him are practical guarantee a perfect society. The hadith of our beloved Prophet Muhammad is the ultimate example of this. Allah (swt) is pleased when you help others and benefit others.

This means He loves to see us care about one another and improve one another’s life. He does not want us to isolate ourselves and focus on spiritual acts of worship only; He wants us to go out of our way to help anyone and everyone – even if they don’t ask. This includes family members, neighbours, friends, Muslims, non-Muslims and everyone.

It may be as simple as helping someone pick up the things they dropped on the floor, giving good advice or a smile. Or it can be to excel in a certain field that allows you to innovate and benefit humanity at large.

It’s that simple – put Allah’s pleasure at the forefront and the world will inevitably become a better place.
