Ramadan Campaign: Boycott Israeli Dates

Israeli dates are found in most supermarkets, including those owned by Muslims. Breaking your fast on dates grown on stolen, illegally occupied land is haram. Our greatest tip is to avoid Medjool dates altogether. 75% of medjool dates are imported from ‘Israel’, and the rest are imported from California in the US. We need to be boycotting both of these countries as they are the source of all the violence and oppression we see around us. There are plenty of delicious types of dates you can buy which do not originate from Israel or the US.

We will be sharing videos and leaflets and will distribute these in any way we can. Please join us by sharing these posts and distributing the leaflets in your mosques and centres (keep an eye out on on our Facebook page).

Let’s make sure no Muslim this year (and every year) breaks their fast on Israeli dates. It is our Islamic obligation to stand with our Palestinian brothers and sisters and be an Ummah the Prophet Muhammad can be proud of.
