This charming book traces Quetting’s heart-warming and highly entertaining adventure as goslings Gloria, Nemo, and the rest of the crew conquer land, water, and air. By the time the journey is over, Quetting has learned from his charges more than he ever expected about nature and what it means to be human.

“I so enjoyed this charming and sensitive story about a man who sets out to study the behaviour and flight patterns of seven young geese and then realises, to his great surprise, that his goose family is teaching him important lessons about why nature matters and what it means to be human” – John Aitchison

What is the best part about this book?

It makes you really appreciate the amazing creation of Allah (swt) as the scientist notes how difficult it is to raise geese on his own. He has to replicate so much of what Allah (swt) makes so natural to mother geese. For example, the eggs must be rotated not too much and not too little, not too much humidity and not too little in order to get them to hatch. Apart from this, the best part about the book has to be the photos! There are adorable photos from the goslings from when they were eggs in the incubator, learning to swim up to them becoming adult geese that can fly. And since it is a true story that got a lot of media coverage, you can look them up online and get more videos, photos and interviews. Getting an insider look at the relationship between people and animals was beautiful.
